Three outlets report the launch, but its interpretation as a response to South Korea rests on Seoul's assessment.

North Korea fired multiple ballistic missiles towards the sea, according to Al Jazeera and France 24. DW also reported a launch following South Korea's hypersonic missile test. France 24 attributed the launch details to South Korea's military and reported that Japan confirmed at least one suspected ballistic missile.
