The service

The Skeptic’s Daily is operated by Bvolvr Inc. These terms cover reading editions, submitting story checks, public profiles and Skeptic Pro. Questions can be sent to privacy@scepticsdaily.com.

Assessments, not guarantees

Stories and AI-assisted checks assess reporting available at the time. Plausibility percentages express an assessment of the central claim’s evidence, not certainty, a prediction or a guarantee of accuracy. Reporting and assessments can change or contain errors. Check original citations and exercise your own judgment. Content is not personalized medical, legal, financial or other professional advice.

Accounts and submissions

Keep account access secure. Submit only material you are entitled to provide and do not include confidential information or unlawful content. Your chosen profile details and published checks are public and shareable. A Verified Skeptic badge indicates current Pro membership; it is not a certification of expertise or the accuracy of a reader’s claims. Information use is described in the privacy policy.

Skeptic Pro and free checks

Signed-in readers receive three lifetime free checks per account. Re-registering with the same email after deletion does not reset that allowance. Skeptic Pro is $8 per month or $80 per year, with any applicable charges shown at checkout. Pro provides story checks, saving stories, a membership badge and early edition access when a newer draft is available.

“Unlimited” checks are subject to a fair-use limit of 50 checks per 24 hours. A service-wide limit of 300 checks per 24 hours also applies, so checks can be temporarily unavailable even with Pro. Saved stories remain stored after Pro expires; adding new bookmarks requires Pro.

Renewal, changes and cancellation

Subscriptions renew on the selected monthly or annual billing cycle until canceled. Stripe processes payments. Billing controls let you update payment details, view invoices, switch plans and cancel. Plan switches apply immediately with proration. Cancellation retains Pro through the paid period. During failed-payment retries, Pro access follows the current subscription and paid-period status; access is not promised indefinitely.

Deleting your account ends Pro immediately without a refund. That rule does not remove mandatory rights under applicable law. Review the amount and billing details presented at checkout before purchasing.

Sources and availability

Original reporting remains subject to the source publisher’s terms. External links, news coverage, source availability, automated analysis and notifications can change or be interrupted. Do not rely on this service as your sole source for urgent or consequential decisions.
